God Is For Us

I'M A CHRISTIAN...NOW WHAT?

You see them everyday smelly ragity clothes the stench of drink on them they are everywhere park benches covered with papers shivering with cold if you see them don't turn away don't wrinkle your nose at them if you've read the blog to this point wou will wonder who is them? They are people who through hurt or circumstance or sheer bad breaks in life are people who are homeless many of us lucky ones have a roof over our head ok it may not be a big apartment or house it may be just a room but it's somewhere to sleep at night somewhere warm I see these people and my heart breaks for them I've been homeless yes ME I stayed at a convent in Liverpool they had a soup kitchen I met homeless people the drug takers the alchaholics the women that sold themselves for pennies to eat sometimes sadly they were drug addicts sometimes I saw people with HIV or AIDS and at night I cried I was married to an English man who was violent yes we were homeless but those times sleeping in hostels or convents eating soup looking in trash bins or on the ground for a cigarette stub were hard and now I look back and I can say be carefull it could be you your son or daughter it's scary but it can happen so easily next time you see a homeless person take a good look and imagine Christ died for that person and imagine you seeing the lord in that face he said feed my lambs feed my sheep there is a bible verse which says whoever gives this person a drink gives a drink to me who feeds this person feeds me who clothes this person clothes me so remember please do something kind to a homeless person even a smile a kind word maybe an old coat would keep them warm and you would hear the lord say well done my faithfull servant and I'm sure the lord would smile....

Hi Ruth...when you said 'stunned' in your last comment I hope you meant in a good way...i posted those few Scriptures to re-inforce your Godly view of the poor. Jesus Ministered primarily to the poor and down trodden.Your Blog brought tears to my eyes because a huge part of this ministry is with the homeless and God holds all of His children in high esteem...we are His most prescious creations...we are His children. It is often when we are broken and desperate that we turn to God...and often that is where the most profound and dynamic miracles occur. My prayer of brokeness was to beg God that I could witness His Miracles, first hand ,and report on them. He sent me to the 'valleys' because that is often times where the richest soil is. My Journey with Him, as all of our individual Journies, has been AMAZING. We have Witnessed countless Miracles of Spiritual, emotional and physical healings and are approaching the part of the book where many of these will be documented in interviews...Testimonies. God Bless you Ruth for your love of God and all His children. Love in Christ...mark

I only wrote the blog to say 1) don't judge the homeless it may not be there own fault they have no home and try and realise Jesus died for that person and because he is a brother or sister try and help there pain I hate to see people hurting it hurts me deeply and even though I'm far from being wealthy I at least can talk to someone if they wish even if it's a Hi perhaps take a coffee for them a simple thing can make a difference...I was stunned to see a comment of having loads of bible verses all I know I got a strong urge to write my mind was full of words it would not slow untill I had written downbthe blog it was like a urgent feeling that I HAD TO WRITE THIS BLOG and a feeling of ahhhh now I can be at peace and rest a strange feeling I'm just an ordinary person not a phrophet or something special quite the opposite an ordinary woman who like many others has been torn up inside hurt like so many others I'm trying to get that deep strong faith yup and to mature as a Christian instead of being a worldly Christian. But is it so bad being a worldly Christian ????
