Will we know our loved ones in heaven?

There are several indications in Scripture that we will maintain our identity in heaven and, thus, be recognizable to our loved ones (and they to us). For example, Jesus makes it a point in Matthew 22:31-32 that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were alive and existing as individuals by those names.…

Test

God allows human governments to exist, temporarily, according to His Master Plan (1 Kings 10:9; 2; 2 Chron. 9:8; 1 Tim. 2:1-4; Titus 3:1; 1 Pet. 2: 13-17; Col. 2:10, 15; Eph. 1:20-22).

Anti-Evangelism...Mark Diaz

This is a paper that I wrote recently for an Evangelism class at Liberty University. It is based on a study from the book 'Evangelism Is' by Dave Early and David Wheeler ACADEMIC PRESS, NASHVILLE TENNESSEE 2010 chapters 15-18 and Appendix 3. I believe it can give us all much to think about.

The textbook summarizes evangelism in the early church quite nicely. It gives 5 main points of principle that set a foundation for us: (1) The early church maintained a constant presence…

Spiritual Gifts Test

In the past we have discouraged promoting the various Spiritual Gifts Tests because, although many are accurate, many others are not. And, even for the ones who are accurate, they severely lack an in depth analysis of both strengths and weaknesses, and what the Spiritual Gifts mean. For example: Someone who scores high on the Spiritual Gift of 'Prophecy' might assume that means they can automatically 'forth-tell' the future. Although this can be the case, at times, the vast majority of the…

Praise Report/Prayer Request...Laura Grifith

I just want to thank God that He hears and answers our prayers, even sometimes before we can even ask. Today I was in a state of depression and couldn't snap myself out of it. I was going to write something on here tonight when I got home from church but He started healing me of it there. Please still keep me in and Mike in prayers for we was both attacked w/ it this evening.

Thanks and God bless. Laura.

A Brief Study of Titus

Titus was no stranger to conflict. He was a long-term companion of Paul who was a valuable aid in two of Paul's greatest crises.

Titus first appears in the New Testament in Galatians 2:1, where Paul says he took Titus along on his trip to Jerusalem with Barnabas. Titus was a Gentile, and the issue at hand was whether Gentiles should have to comply with Jewish ceremonial rites (legalism--circumcision, diet restrictions and so on) in order to be full members of the Christian community.…
